Provincial Sports Department, Kegalle Volleyball Association and Suhada Mithuru Parasada organized the Kegalle Volleyball Festival among the state institutions. The volleyball finals were held today (01) at the Kegalle Indoor Stadium. The specialty of this tournament was that this was the first volleyball tournament held at the Kegalle Indoor Stadium.

Accordingly, Kegalle Police, Dehiovita Divisional Secretariat, Kegalle Divisional Council, Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat Women's Volleyball Team, Rambukkana Divisional Secretariat, Rambukkana Divisional Council, Ruwanwella Divisional Secretariat, Ruwanwella Divisional Secretariat men's teams qualified for the final round of the Kegalle Volleyball Festival. had Women's volleyball championship was won by the Kegalle Police team, Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat team won the runner-up, Ruwanwella Police team won the men's volleyball championship, and Rambukkana Divisional Secretariat team won the runner-up. Galapitamada Middle College and Ruwanwella Rajasinghe Middle College won the volleyball championship in the under-16 school boys division.
