By providing the necessary technical support for the business products of the rural entrepreneurial community, by building the environment necessary to produce quality products, by providing a market for the relevant products and thereby building the daily life of the entrepreneurs and providing the necessary support until a group of successful entrepreneurs is born, the objective of training the village officials as GMP inspectors. A program was held today (02) at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

In the training conducted by the Ministry of Technology with the contribution of the resources of the Sri Lanka Standards Institute, the Code of Good Manufacturing Practices, Audit Conductors, Audit Types, Auditor's Role, Conducting Audits, Reporting Non-Conformities, Corrective Actions were made aware. Development Officers, Science Graduate Development Officers representing eleven Divisional Secretariat Divisions were involved in this survey.

The program was organized by the District Training Unit.

On that occasion, State Ministry of Technology Kanaka Herath, Additional District Secretary (Administration) K.G.S. Nishantha, Additional Secretary (Administration) Ministry of Technology A.K.R. Alawatta, Sri Lanka Standards Institute Deputy Director General S.O. Narangoda, Deputy Director Mr.Kanchana, a group of officials including and Mrs. Lokkeegana and officials from the Ministry of Industry were present.
