The meeting to review the progress of the Foreign Employment Development Officers for the third quarter of this year was held yesterday (01) at the District Secretariat Auditorium. Accordingly, the progress was reviewed at the level of each Divisional Secretariat Division according to the action plan prepared by the Foreign Employment Division of the Kegalle District Secretariat for the year 2024.

The role played by the officials even during the election period was evaluated and the problematic situation in providing self-employment assistance was also discussed. Instructions were also given to focus on identifying people who have worked in Korea and taking the necessary steps to start businesses through them. Special attention was also paid to providing the necessary facilities for selling self-employment related products.

This program was organized by the District Foreign Employment Coordinating Officer, Mr. Harendra Udumulla, and the Division.

Additional District Secretary (Lands) Dilip Nishantha, Senior Manager of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Emigrant Resource Center Sashika Batugedara, Foreign Employment Development Officers from the District and Divisional Secretariats and a group of others were present at the event.
