A capacity development training program for the development of the attitudes, skills and collective teamwork of the public servants of the Kegalle District Secretariat and the need to actively participate in the public service was held at the Kegalle National Youth Corps premises on 18 and 20 December 2024 under the full supervision of the Kegalle District Secretary, Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe, under the leadership and resource contribution of the Additional District Secretary, Mr. K. G. S. Nishantha.
Some of the basic objectives of this program were to remove the anxiety of public servants for a good public service, to work with a good mind, to manage the week, time and perform duties with a clear and rational mind, and to get rid of the monotonous daily work environment and gain mental satisfaction.
Taking these factors into account, the participation of several resource persons related to the scope of the program, which can achieve the aforementioned objectives and achieve contextual goals, is also noteworthy.
About 300 officers representing all sections of the Kegalle District Secretariat participated in this program, and Mr. Prasanna Kumara, Life Skills and Counselor, representing the Ministry of Youth Affairs, and Mr. Renuka Jayaratne, Kegalle District Counseling Officer, provided resource contributions here, and this is notable as a workshop with many activities that went beyond just a program.
This program, which began with light exercises over two days, ended with a beautiful evening that showcased the creative artistic abilities of the officers and satisfied the mind. This program, which can be considered a very successful program, was organized by the District Training Division including Assistant District Secretary Malsha L. Priyadarshani.
