The establishment of the Kegalle District Sports Club was carried out yesterday (26) under the patronage of Kegalle District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe, coordinating the athletes with disabilities in the Kegalle District, as instructed by the Department of Social Services.

The aim of this is to direct the disabled with various sports abilities to the national and international level. It was emphasized that this sports club will be registered with the National Paralympic Committee.

The District Social Services Officer Sarath Ranaweera, District Sports Development Officer Lalith Jayawardena, guardians of athletes with disabilities and officials from the Social Services Division were present at the event.
