The first Shasanarakshaka Balamandala of this year met at the District Secretariat yesterday (28) with the aim of discussing the organizational work of the 2024 District Student Skills Evaluation Ceremony.

Accordingly, it was decided to hold the 2024 District Student Skills Evaluation Ceremony on March 08 at Kegalu College. Prizes and certificates are to be given to 205 students who won in 41 competitions.

In addition, the provision of Dhamma school textbooks for the year 2025, conducting teacher training programs through the District Balamandala, and conducting Dhamma school student leader programs were further discussed at this meeting.

The Deputy Chief Sangha Leader of the Satara Korala Maha Disa, Venerable Jujya Dunukewatte Seelawimala Nayaka Thero, the Honorable Chairman of the District Shasanarakshaka Bala Mandala, the Coordinator of the Sariputta National Faculty of Education, Venerable Nelumdeniye Dhammadassi Thero, the Honorable Secretary of the District Shasanarakshaka Bala Mandala, the Chairman and Secretary of the Regional Shasanarakshaka Bala Mandala, the Additional District Secretary (Administration) Mrs. Kusum Bandara, the Additional District Secretary (Land) Mr. Dilip Nishantha, the Divisional Secretaries, the Buddhist Affairs Coordinators of the District Secretariat and the Divisional Secretariats, and a group of others were present on this occasion.
