A food security and home gardening training program organized by the Sustainable Circle in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka program was held today (05) at the District Secretariat Auditorium under the patronage of Additional District Secretary (Administration) Mrs. Kusum Bandara.

Under this, awareness on food security and home gardening training was provided by the District Director of Agriculture M.S. Thilaksiri while the explanation regarding the use of fertilizer was provided by the Deputy Director of the Fertilizer Division Mr. Sarath Sumanadasa. Since this program was a training conducted in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka program, the explanation was provided by the District Planning Director Mr. A.A. Weerakoon.

Sales stalls were also set up to provide seeds, seedlings, fertilizers and cultivation advice for cultivation activities, and the Kundasala Seed and Planting Material Development Center, Green Asia Nutrition Private Limited and Nutri Max Institutes were involved in this.

Ms. Uthpala, Administrative Services Officer of the RPD, presented a memento to those who contributed to the entire program.

Three winners were selected from among the participants in this cultivation training program and prizes were given to them, and the sponsorship for this was provided by Nutri Max Institute.

A group of officers from the District Secretariat participated in this training program.
