A small and medium scale entrepreneurship development program is being implemented covering all districts of the island.

Under it, the Kegalle District Program of the RDB Operation Program, which mobilizes a workforce for the economic war, was held yesterday (05) at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

The primary objectives of this program are to empower small and medium scale entrepreneurs, strengthen the local economy, and create 15,000 entrepreneurs from each district in the island within a year.

Accordingly, the program held yesterday explained how these entrepreneurs are empowered, how entrepreneurship development officers are involved in this, plans were prepared for future programs, and relevant suggestions and ideas were received.

This program, jointly conducted by the National Enterprise Development Authority and RDB Bank, was coordinated by the District Entrepreneurship Development Officer, Ms. Sakunthala Priyangani and the division.

Additional District Secretary (Administration) Kusum Bandara, Additional District Secretary (Land) Dilip Nishantha, Regional Development Bank Manager Asela Navaratne, District Enterprise Development Officers, and managers of Regional Development Bank branches in the district were present on the occasion.
