Investigating the progress of the District Small Business Development Department.
A meeting to investigate the progress of Kegalle District Small Business Development Division from January to June was held at the District Secretariat Auditorium today (16) in the morning.
The Small Business Development Division is set to empower 7848 entrepreneurs in the district this year too under forty-five categories, making its main goal to develop businesses. For that the district has over sixty lakh grants this year. The Small Business Development Sector is implemented in nine steps aimed at developing businesses. Many programs including business planning, business productivity, entrepreneurship management, marketing exhibitions, online business training course called Z class are also implemented. The awareness was raised by Mr. Saint Mantilaka, Assistant Director of District Small Business Development Department.
District Secretary Jagat Herath commented here said that he should inspire entrepreneurs during his work field and work towards the development of those businesses in every way they can.
The progress review meeting was organized by the District Small Business Development Department.
Officers including small business development sectors of the District and Regional Secretariat were gathered at the event.
