In the Kagalle District Industry Committee, an Industry Steering Committee has been established as a concept of the District Governor/District Secretary Mr. Ranjan Jayasinghe.

This committee is chaired by Mr. Dilip Nishantha, Additional District Secretary (Lands) , Mr. S.A.J. Senanayake, Provincial Director of Industrial Development Board as Secretary, and District Director of Agriculture, District Employment Promotion Officer, District Skill Officer, Small Business Development Division. It consists of Assistant Director, Productivity Officer, Development Officers of Export and Industry Divisions.

Accordingly, the industrialists of the district will have a direct opportunity to start a new industry and solve the problems related to the existing industry.
