According to the request of the Association of Small and Medium Scale Industrialists of Kegalle District, a discussion on the business problems faced by small, medium and large scale industrialists scattered throughout the district was held yesterday (04) at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

Here, businessmen were presented with the problems they had experienced. In this meeting involving officials of Inland Revenue Department, Central Environment Authority, Department of Labor, Chamber of Commerce, Employees' Trust Fund, Industrial Development Board, the problems faced in obtaining the environmental license, problems related to tax collection, problems related to labor payments and the businessmen were informed about the problems related to the Employee Trust Fund and the related system.

It was also proposed to bring together all the businessmen of the district to remove the misconceptions related to income tax payments and to educate them as well as to hold a program in the future to give them an understanding of the labor law.

This program was organized by Mrs. Sakuntala Priyangani, District Enterprise Development Officer.

District Governor/District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe, Additional District Secretary (Lands) Gamalatge Dilip Nishantha, heads of related institutions and businessmen were present on that occasion.
