This year, the third District Shasanarakshaka Balamandalaya met recently (06) at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

The district student skill program to be held on the 29th and the regional student skill competition, the progress of the temples currently undergoing development, and the regulations related to the trade of offerings including Atapirikara, were discussed in this meeting.

It was announced that the recently held Regional Student Skills Program was successfully held and gratitude is expressed to all those who contributed to it. Regarding the upcoming district student skill competition, the selection of judges, program expenses, distribution of certificates were further discussed here.

It was revealed that the Department of Buddhist Affairs is working to make regulations regarding certain issues in the production and trade of atapirikara and puja items. Apart from this, the development projects of the temples, the construction work of the temples which have been affected by the disaster, and the progress of the district Buddhist affairs fund were also examined.

On this occasion, honorable president of Aranayaka Sasanarakshaka Balamandala Kehelwatta Jayawardena Piriwen Viharadhipat Pujya Warapitiye Rathanasarabhidhana Nayak Thero, Honorary Registrar of Kegalle District Sasanarakshaka Balamandala retired principal, Deputy Chief Sanghanayake of Satara Korala Maha Disa Ven. Chairman of Boards and Lord Registrar, District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe, Additional District Secretary (Lands) Gamalathge Dilip Nishantha, District Buddhist Affairs Coordinator Shantha Bannaka, Divisional Secretaries, Buddhist Affairs Coordinators of District and Divisional Secretariats were present.
