A program was held at Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya yesterday (18) to inform students studying A-level Commerce about the Consumer Affairs Authority Act No. 09 of 2003 covering the Business Studies syllabus.

In this awareness program, school students were informed about consumer rights, consumer duties, business rules and regulations, actions to be taken against fraud and irregularities in the market, consumer relief, and how to file complaints.

Kegalle District Consumer Authority conducted this awareness lecture based on the commerce day held at Kegalle Balika Vidyalaya.

The college principal, teachers and students were present on this occasion.
