A training program on Freelancing was held yesterday (07) at the District Secretariat Auditorium with the aim of imparting knowledge to earn money as a freelancer according to the capabilities of government officials.

This training program was implemented as an activity of the Kegalle District Transformation Action Plan established to spread nationally important programs and digital transformation projects related to information technology at the district and local level.

Accordingly, many issues including digital freelancing, making money online and its new trends, the legal background of Sri Lanka and the benefits of making money online, money exchange platforms were informed.

Sri Lanka Institute of Information and Communication Technology Senior Manager Manoj Hemantha and Manager Charith Nandasiri and Senior System Engineer Malitha Manavaduge were present as resource persons for this program.

The program was organized by the District IT Unit.

On that occasion, Additional District Secretary (Admin) Mrs.Dinisha S. Rathnayake and government officials attached to the district and divisional secretariats were present.
