The art forum of the district secretariat was established yesterday (09) under the chairmanship of Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe, with the aim of creating a single platform for the abilities of the officers with different artistic abilities in the district secretariat and developing the friendship of the office officials through it.

Accordingly, the board of officers was elected for the art forum and the district secretary as the ex-officio chairman of the forum, the additional district secretary (control) for the position of vice president and the secretary position was held for the district cultural officer. After that music, dance, drama, writing, Sub-art committees were formed from the collection of people with different artistic abilities like painting, photography etc. Furthermore, presenting the constitution of the cultural forum, pointing out the shortcomings and adopting the council, presenting the future plan of the cultural forum in the year 2024 and getting ideas and new proposals were also done.

This program was organized by the department including the District Cultural Officer Mrs. Kanchana Wijeratne.
