A Kegalle District Progress Review Meeting was held yesterday (22) at the District Secretariat Auditorium of the District Digital Transformation Committee which has been established at the district level with the aim of strengthening the public sector through digitization in order to create a digital economy in the country by the year 2030.

At present, identification of resource contributors related to the Startup business awareness program at the school level and regional secretariat level, creation of an information technology resource pool, survey of existing computer lab devices, survey of information communication technology societies by the primary and secondary sections in schools, the current progress of many activities including the youth boot program, the establishment of regional digital development committees, and the integrated approach to government capacity development were examined here.

The problems faced in the implementation of the action plan were also discussed here.

The District IT Unit had organized this program.

On that occasion, District Governor/District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe, Information and Communication Technology Agency Senior Manager Manoj Hemantha, Manager Charith Udayanga and a group of government officials including Divisional Secretaries were present.
