A program to provide hearing aids to low-income adults over 60 years of age in Kegalle district was held yesterday (28) throughout the day at the district secretariat on the provisions of the National Elderly General Secretariat.

Hearing aids were given to 185 adults in Kegalle, Mawanella, Rambukkana, Galigamuwa, Warakapola, Aranayaka divisional secretariat divisions. The value of one hearing aid is Rs.80,000.00. Ear Master was involved in providing these devices.

This program was organized by the district adult promotion officer Mrs. Dilani Kumari.

Additional District Secretary (Administration) Mr. K.G.S.Nishantha, senior officers from Kegalle, Mawanella, Rambukkana, Galigamuwa, Warakapola, Aranayaka Divisional Secretariats were present on that occasion.
