A training program on organizing and empowering migrant labor unions in Kegalle district with the financial support of voice of migration (VOM) organization organized by the Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment was held today (31) at the district secretariat auditorium.

In this program, which was attended by foreign employment development officers and officials of district expatriate associations, they were informed about the existing conditions, problems and innovations related to the organization of expatriate labor unions. Mr. Lanka Sumanadasa, Development Officer for Training Trainers of the Ministry of Foreign Employment, had contributed resources for that.

This program was organized by the District Foreign Employment Division including the District Foreign Employment Coordinator Mr. Harendra Udumulla.

A group of officials including District Governor/District Secretary Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe attended the event.
