The official language proficiency books compiled by the official language department will be distributed to the identified schools through the education zone offices of the district as per the instructions of Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe, Kegalle district secretary. Accordingly, the books were distributed to the identified schools at the Kegalle Education Zone Office level today (21) in the morning. The books were presented to the Deputy Education Director of the Development Division of the Kegalle Education Zone Office by Mrs. Indika Weerawardena, the District Coordinator of the Language Section of the District Secretariat.

This program can also be introduced as a special program for school children by marking the International Mother Language Day to emphasize the value of effective implementation of the official language policy by the Official Language Commission.
