A program to distribute hearing aids to adults above the age of 60 years was held on 28th November 2024 at the Kegalle District Secretariat Auditorium under the patronage of Kegalle District Secretary/Government Agent J. M. R. P. Jayasinghe.

Free hearing aids were distributed to 120 adults above the age of 60 years from low-income families under the provisions of the National Elders Secretariat. The value of each hearing aid distributed was Rs. 68500/=. Accordingly, the cost of the hearing aids was Rs. 8 220 000/=.

This nationally important program was organized by the District Elders Promotion Officer Mrs. Dilani Kumari and the division.
