Integrated Rural Development Programme - 2025

Eliminating rural multidimensional poverty in rural areas of Sri Lanka through an integrated development approach.

• Development of the road from near Dothalambaya Gate in Aranayake - Gangthuna Medagama Division to 50 acres (Phase One) - Rs.4.1 million
• Low income families in Aranayake - Gangthuna Medagama Division
• Providing toilet facilities to the benefiting families - Rs.2 million
• Kegalle Atugoda Animal Production Village Programme - Rs.2.9 million
• Kegalle - Gangthuna North/South, Belihulwana Export Crops Production Village Project - Rs.5.3 million
• Kegalle, Rangwala Betel Production Village Program - Rs.2.7 million
• Aranayake Salawa West Maha Anuma Renovation Project - Rs.2 million

Decentralized Budget Program

• Number of approved decentralized projects - 71
• Approved allocation amount - 103 Million
• The decentralized budget program implemented by 11 Divisional Secretariat has currently achieved 75% progress.
• The remaining 25% is being procured, and site inspections and estimates for infrastructure facilities are being prepared.

Ministry of Plantations and Community Infrastructure

• Estate Infrastructure Development Projects
Proposals are received from 8 Divisions for this purpose and the proposals approved by the Ministry are implemented. Estimated cost Rs. 8 million
• Disaster Housing Program in Estate Areas
Only disaster housing with NBRO reports will be constructed under this project. The number of projects is 25. Estimated cost Rs. 81.2 million
• Provision of drinking water facilities for estate houses
Estimates are prepared and forwarded to the Ministry.After which funds are provided Kegalle, Bulathkohupitiya Divisions Providing drinking water facilities for 50 estate houses
• Repairing the roofs of the disaster-hit estate houses
The cost estimate for repairing the roofs has been forwarded to the Ministry. The number of projects is 6.
• Indian Housing Assistance Program is identifying beneficiaries
• Approval of sanitation projects related to estates.Ruwanwella Division is being implemented for 10 selected beneficiaries. Agreements have been signed for 8 projects.
