A meeting on the progress of social work officers in the August (25) was held at the District Secretariat Auditorium today (25) to investigate the progress of the social service and social welfare sector of Kegalle district.
Discussed here about the current state of marketing which includes products of people with disabilities expected to be opened in Pinnawala on the occasion of the International Disability Day which is going to be held in the coming December and the products offered, standards of them, finance management as well as the interests of customers domestic foreign District Secretary Mr. Jagat Herath explained the matter here.
In this progress review meeting, the AA Divisional Secretariat level discussed many things including self-esteem evaluation, providing subsidies for people with disabilities, living aid for kidney diseases, care home supervision of people with disabilities, referring people with disabilities to self-employment.
Additional District Secretary (Government) Kusum Bandara, District Social Service Officer Sarathranaveera, Social Service Officers from the Regional Secretariat Offices were gathered together for the event.
