A meeting to discuss issues in the health sector of Kegalle district and solutions available to them was held today (24) afternoon at Kegalle District Secretariat in the leadership of Deputy Minister of Health and Media Mr. Hansaka Wijemuni.
Regional Healthcare Director, Specialist Dr. P after the welcome speech of Kegalle District Secretary Jagat Herath. Mrs. Nidarshani presented questions and issues belonging to the medical sector in the district while officers belonging to the health sector including the Deputy Minister and the Deputy Minister together were discussed.
Accordingly, the shortage of minor staff and nurses including doctors, shortage of equipment in district hospitals, delays in medication availability and the ability to intervene for that was discussed here.

Provincial Secretaries, District Planning Department Officers, Provincial Health Services Director and officers from the health sector were present.
